For active kids who are always on the go, the new Motorola TALKABOUT T42 offers the perfect way to stay in touch.
The fun and easy-to-use design makes the TALKABOUT T42 ideal for little explorers whether camping, den building or out on their bikes.

The list of child’s play is endless for the most recent addition to Motorola’s two-way leisure radio collection.
But don’t just take our word for it. Brothers Joshua (8) and Charlie (6) headed to the park where they put the T42s to the test. They were suitably impressed. Roger that…

HOW DID YOU FIND USING THE WALKIE TALKIES?
Joshua: I liked it because we could talk to each other when we were far away. We could hear each other from long distances away and give each other things to do.
Charlie: I really liked using all the buttons that do different things. And I liked that we can talk to each other whenever we want, even when we can’t see each other. They are really good.

WERE THEY EASY TO USE?
Joshua: Yes, once we got used to them. It was fun working out what the different buttons do such as the call button/ringtone. I liked the fact there are lots of things to do.
Charlie: I enjoyed using the call button to get Joshie’s attention.

HOW DID YOU USE THE WALKIE TALKIES?
Joshua: I used them for talking to Charlie and saying stuff like ‘come and chase me because I’m Flash!’ I could use them when I was hiding behind a tree and Charlie was with mummy and daddy but they couldn’t see me.

WHAT SITUATIONS COULD YOU USE THEM IN?
Charlie: With friends when they come to play at our house. Or in the park.
Joshua: If we’re at home and daddy’s working in the attic, we can tell him dinner’s ready or ask if he wants a cup of coffee. Or we could tell him things that we need so he can get it ready.
Charlie: Or when we’re out on our bikes. Me and mummy stay on the straight part while daddy and Joshie go off-road. When they go about 300 yards away from us, we can use our walkie talkies to speak instead of shouting.
Joshua: Yes, good idea. Or when we go out walking in the mountains together and me and daddy go ahead. If we all had a walkie talkie, or shared one between two, me and daddy could keep talking to mummy and Charlie to make sure they don’t get lost!

COULD YOU HEAR EACH OTHER WELL?
Charlie: I could hear every word Joshie said.
Joshua: They are very clear. Even when we were at the other side of the café from each other, I could hear everything Charlie said.

WHAT ARE THEY LIKE TO HANDLE?
Charlie: They are perfect. Not too big or too small. I could hold them in one hand easily and run around without dropping it.
Joshua: I clipped mine to my coat pocket when I wasn’t using it. This looked really cool and meant I could grab it quickly if I needed to.

HOW DO THE MOTOROLA WALKIE TALKIES COMPARE TO OTHER WALKIE TALKIES YOU HAVE USED?
Charlie: Much, much better. I really enjoyed putting the stickers on.
Joshua: Yes, the stickers are fun. We’ve had Superman walkie talkies, Batman and Thomas ones but they wouldn’t really talk to each other properly. And when they did it sounded like a big mumble and kerfuffle.
Charlie: These are the best walkie talkies ever. I didn’t really know how to use the other ones but these are really good. I can’t wait to use them again.
