What is a POC Radio? 

A POC radio or Push To Talk Over Celluar is a device that works over data i to transmit instantly like a traditional two-way radio, but has the advantage of nationwide coverage much like a mobile phone working over 3G/4G/WIFI networks. 

What do I need for the device to work? 

A user licence is required when operating these devices, it enables features such as group calls, emergency call, and other features to maximize your connectivity capabilities. The benefits of a user licnece include having added features such as GPS location, voice recording, emergency calling and group calling features. 

Does the device require a sim? 

Yes, as a push to talk over cellular devices work over data, a sim is required in order to operate the device, we offer prepaid packages that come with 500mb worth of data per month which is more than enough talk time. Our sims work over multiple networks such as 02, EE , Vodaphone & Three so your signal your device will automatically find the strongest signal ensuring maximum coverage, No contract is required for sim set up it is prepaid annually. 

Is an Ofcom licence required? 

No Ofcom licence is required for POC devices, as they work over data not radio frequencies there is no legal requirement from Ofcom. 

How far can they transmit? 

As POC radios and devices operate over data they work much like a mobile phone, so as long as you have 3G/4G/WIFI signal you can transmit instantly anywhere nationwide, much further than traditional two-way radios.
