The MTP8500Ex is an ATEX-certified, intrinsically safe portable radio offering exceptional voice and data communication, enhanced by integrated GPS and top-tier audio quality. It boasts a full-color display, along with a secondary top display that provides key information at a glance.

The radio is equipped with a large emergency button and features a limited keypad. Integrated Bluetooth ® further enhances its functionality. Identification is made easy with a nameplate, avoiding the need for stick-on labels or external markers that could compromise its ATEX certification.

TETRA radios are supplied with the latest firmware, and the following default option for encryption:
