Radio Solutions were delighted to recently supply Motorola XT180 radios to Port Sunlight Garden Centre. The busy family owned Garden Centre based in the heart of the village is regarded as one of the area’s best kept secrets. As well catering for those looking for plants, gardening, home decor and outdoor living the centre also prides itself on its café where all food is freshly cooked to order.

With the Garden centre spanning over a wide area including both indoor and outdoor sections, communication between the large team poses logistical challenges meaning face to face communications is not always a viable option. To combat this the centre uses two-way radios which they recently upgraded with their purchase from Radio Solutions.

When asked about their decision to upgrade, Garden Centre manager Chris Maddock commented:
‘We were using small inexpensive radios previously but were looking for a superior radio that offered better reception over a longer reach whilst still offering exceptional value. The radios needed to be rugged and be able to take the odd knock from being dropped on occasions as well as being able to hold charge for a full day during busy periods’

The radio of choice was the Motorola XT180 and they have met the requirements of the Garden Centre with Chris further commenting:

‘The radios are excellent. A good range of use, rugged taking knocks and drops without any major damages and clear reception across the team’

If you are in the Wirral be sure to make a trip to Port Sunlight Garden Centre and keep a look out for the radios!
