Radio Solutions was pleased to work with the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (UK), donating 4 Motorola T80 radios for them to use during a recent charity event.

The charity organises different outdoor activities throughout the year where groups of volunteers take part in climbing challenges such as Ben Nevis, Snowdon, Scafell Pike, Yorkshire 3 Peaks and Everest Base Camp in order to raise money for the charity.

Charity spokesperson Ikhlaq Ahmad explained how they used the radios to co-ordinate communications with colleagues during an event: “We recently used the radios at Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in UK and found them very helpful keeping in touch with other members of our team.

“The radios were very clear even in the harsh conditions of Scottish Highlands. We believe the radios would be vital at our future events.”

Mr Ahmad went on to say: “Our experience with SLF Mobile Radio (Radio Solutions) has been extremely good. The staff were helpful and fully understood our requirement and gave us the best solution.  We highly recommend SFL for radio solutions.”

The Motorola TLKR T80 Extreme’s tough, water-resistant design is suitable for all-weather conditions, and has a range of up to 10km, so you can keep in touch on the wildest tracks and highest peaks.

The T80 Extreme walkie talkie is license free, including key features like LCD display, 8 channels of communication and up to 10km range, with no call charges. Find out more about the T82 here.

The Imran Khan Cancer Appeal raises funds for the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital founded by Imran Khan. The National Health Service does not provide cancer treatment in Pakistan and as a result poor people die without proper diagnosis/treatment.  The hospital treats those underprivileged people with cancer.
